Man Charged with Death by Distribution in Madison County

Madison County -- May 8, 2023: On April 25, 2023, the Madison County Sheriff's Office
announced the arrest of Daren Eli Griffen.

Griffen was taken into custody with the help of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. 

The NCSBI and the Madison County Sheriff's Office looked into a fentanyl overdose before making this arrest.  In the Madison County Detention Facility, Daren is being held on a $100,000 Secured Bond.
