McDowell County Man Arrested on Firearm, Drug Trafficking Charges

McDowell County -- February 20, 2023: The McDowell County Sheriff's Office announced today
the arrest of 57-year-old

Roy Eugene Watts. 

Watts has been charged with Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling Place for Controlled Substance, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Scheduled II Controlled Substance and Possession of Firearm by Felon

Watts was arrested on January 25th, 2023, following a search of his residence that /yielded a significant quantity of methamphetamine and firearms. As a convicted felon, Watts was prohibited from possessing firearms.
