3 Arrested in Madison County Kidnapping
Madison County On 02/19/23 : The Madison County Sheriff's Office received a report on 02/19/23
regarding a person who had appeard
at a house and claimed to have been kidnapped. The East Fork Village in Madison County received assistance
from the sheriff's office. Authorities discovered a victim who had sustained several cuts to his face, body, and arms.
The victim's face and body had numerous cross symbols etched into them as well. Due to the victims' injuries, EMS transported them get medical care.
Investigators and deputies from the Madison County Sheriff's Office searched the neighborhood and found the house
where it had occurred. Patrick Banks, James Angel, and Nicole Sawyer were discovered by the detectives inside the
residence. Patrick had a felony arrest warrant out for him for disabling a probation electronic monitoring device, and Probation and Parole wanted him for a parole violation. James was wanted in another county on charges of larceny and marijuana possession.
In the residence, the Madison County Sheriff's Office carried out a search warrant. Investigators were able to learn from the investigation that the victim had been held against his will in the home's basement. The victim's mouth had been taped, and the victim's mouth, chest, and feet had all been bound with barb wire. The victim's hands and feet had also been bound to a chair with barb wire. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head, multiple crowbar strikes, multiple knife slashes to the face and hands, multiple kicks to the head, many punches to the head, and multiple kicks to the body.
Three people have been detained and charged in connection with this terrible occurrence.
Patrick Colby Banks was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with Intent to Kill, First Degree Kidnapping, Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
James Angel was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with Intent to Kill, First Degree Kidnapping, Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
Nicole Sawyer was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with Intent to Kill, First Degree Kidnapping, Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
