Forest City -- January 30, 2023:  Officers from the Forest City Police Department and the Rutherford County
Sheriff's Office were called to

440 Old Wagy Road in Forest City on Saturday, January 28, and early Sunday morning in response to a threat
of suicide. Responding officers heard a gunshot coming from the house's backyard when they arrived.
Phillip Bradley Hollar, the suspect, eventually put down his firearm and was arrested. Hollar revealed that he had
placed numerous improvised explosive devices in the garden during an interview. Officers applied for a search warrant
for the property based on the information, and it was approved. Officers now turned to the NCSBI Explosive Ordinance Unit and the ATF for assistance.
The Explosive Ordinance Unit was able to find and disassemble the explosives after combing the yard for hours.
The explosive substance was controlledly blown up by the FCPD and the Bomb Unit at around 3:30 this morning.

Phillip Bradley Hollar has been charged with one count of Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
