Ten Arrested in APD'S Fourth Special Operation of 2022
Asheville -- December 20, 2022: Ten people were charged after the Asheville Police Department conducted their Fourth Special Operation of 2022
to crack down on theft and repeat offenders.
To conduct their fourth blitz, a group of volunteer detectives and officers collaborated with regional loss prevention agents to target the intersection of Smokey Park Highway and Brevard Road.
were arrested and charged on December 15th.

In 2022 there has been a total of four rounds of the special operation in which 73 people were arrested, 127 charges, and of those 33 of which were felonies. Additionally, a total of 7.95 grams of methamphetamine, 0.5 grams of fentanyl, and two MDMA Pills were seized along with one firearm recovered.
