North Carolina -- December 18, 2022: On the 15th of December, 2022, at 1:12 p.m., the Cornelius Police Department
began investigating a missing person's

report involving a child.

Cornelius police stated in a statement Saturday that the girl's parents had been arrested for failing to report her missing.

Police reported that Diana Cojocari, Madalina's mother, and Christopher Palmiter, her stepfather, were arrested on Saturday for failing to report the disappearance of a child. According to the records, both Cojocari and Palmiter are currently detained at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center.

On November 23rd, Madalina was last seen at her home in Cornelius, North Carolina, which is roughly 20 miles north of Charlotte. It wasn't until the 15th of December that Madalina's parents contacted the school resource officer at her middle school, Bailey.

The police are actively looking for Madalina Cojocari and are appealing to the public for any leads they may have.

She is a white girl of eleven years of age. About 90 pounds is her weight, give or take. She was last spotted wearing a white t-shirt, white blazer, and pink, purple, and white Adidas shoes.
