Asheville Man Faces Drug Charges and Firearm by Felon
Asheville -- April 9, 2022: Officers from the Asheville Police Department arrested a man Wednesday evening for illegally possessing a firearm and a large quantity of "pink heroin."
Deandre Laquail Smith Jackson (10/26/1995) was arrested at a hotel on Monte Vista Road shortly after 10 p.m. on April 6 on the following charges:
Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
Trafficking in Opium or Heroin
Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule I
Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substances
$50,000 secured bond
Seized was:
96 grams of “Pink Heroin”
S&W 9mm pistol
Jackson was transported to the Buncombe County Detention Facility for booking.
