Asheville Police Searchig for 2 Suspects in Burglary of Local Business
Asheville -- April 9, 2022: The Asheville Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying businesses
burglars fled the scene in a getaway vehicle with distinctive markings.
Around 12:50 a.m. Thursday, APD officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Louisiana to investigate a business alarm. Officers were also informed that someone was still inside the building and appeared to be in possession of a gun. Officers arrived to find the front glass door shattered.
The building was searched by an APD K-9 team, but no suspects were found. They did, however, discover a smashed window, which was most likely how the suspects exited the business.
Officers investigated and viewed video surveillance, which revealed suspects searching through the business. It is unclear what might have been stolen from the company. The suspects appeared to have fled shortly before the officers arrived.
According to APD, the suspects were both white males who appeared to be in their early twenties. The getaway car is red with black racing stripes down the hood, most likely a Volkswagen.
