Shooting Leaves One Child Dead, Another in Critical Conditon
Jackson County -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident that occurred at
110 Ferguson Road on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, deputies found two young males, ages 15 and 10, who had sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Harris Hospital before being airlifted to Mission Hospital in Asheville.
Noah Joseph Ensley, age 15, passed away at Mission Hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2022. Bridger Owen Ensley, age 10, remains in critical condition as of Monday morning.
Jackson County Sheriff's Office and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are working together on the investigation.
No other details will be released at this time.
