City of Asheville Announces Code Purple Friday - Sunday
Asheville -- City of Asheville Government Community News March 11-13 Code Purple
The purpose of the Code Purple procedure is to provide a coordinated effort among Asheville and Buncombe County, North Carolina shelters and other organizations to provide emergency overflow shelter to people experiencing homelessness in the event of severe weather conditions.
Bus Rides to Code Purple Shelter
● Bus rides to Code Purple Shelter are FREE.
● Passengers can let the driver know that they are riding TO Code Purple Shelter.
● Passengers can ride back downtown to the ART station by telling the driver they are riding FROM Code
Purple Shelter.
