Buncombe County Sheriff's Office Arson Investigation Continues

arson investigation in the  Newfound Road/Leicester/Sandy Mush areas.

November 4, 2021 Buncombe County Sheriff's Office" The latest: UPDATE on Arson investigation (3 p.m. on Thursday):

The Sheriff's Office is actively following leads we have developed during the past 24 hours. Detectives assigned to this investigation have been pulling video footage and conducting neighborhood canvasses since noon yesterday.
Search warrants are being drawn today to obtain additional data and information. This is a labor-intensive effort that will take time, but we want to assure our community members that the Sheriff's Office is devoting extensive resources to further this arson investigation.
The entirety of our Major Case Division within Criminal Investigations has been assigned to this case and Detectives from other divisions are assisting. We continue to work closely with the SBI on this investigation and to expedite requests for data.
