Hendersonville Man Charged in Shooting Death

On August 23, 2018 The Hendersonville Police Department responded to a report of gunshots in the Green Meadows Community.

When officers arrived on scene they located an individual with a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Lavoris Jermaine Brown of Hendersonville, North Carolina. Mr. Brown was transported to Pardee Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives were able to follow up on leads from the public and identified the suspect as Kenneth Lanord Mills, 22 years old of Hendersonville, North Carolina. Mills has been charged with one count of First Degree Murder.

The Hendersonville Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
