The Haywood County Fair is a favorite event for thousands of families every year, and 2018 promises to deliver all the best fair traditions along with new events and happenings that will keep you coming back for more.
Whether you're new to the fair or have been coming for generations, the Haywood County Fair has something for everyone. The fair is a celebration of Haywood County's agricultural traditions, including livestock shows, horse riding competitions, farm and garden exhibits, and rabbit and poultry shows and exhibits.
It's a time of camaraderie that brings friends and neighbors together, from toe-tapping musical entertainment every day of the fair to the excitement of truck and tractor pulls. Soak up the sights and sounds of the midway carnival, cheer on firefighters in the Battle of the Bucket, and browse the exhibit hall to see the handiwork of your friends and neighbors.

The fair is a whirlwind of fun for kids, with carnival rides and games, quintessential fair foods, ice-cream and watermelon eating contests, and lots of special events during Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 25th. They can climb into the cab of a tractor at the Farm Simulator, be wowed by science demonstrations and learn how to play their very own souvenier "one-string Pork- and-Bean guitar."

Carnival and rides open pre-fair on Wed, Aug 22nd from 5 til 9 pm with free parking night. A variety of budget friendly ride packages are available throughout the fair down at the at the carnival in the lower meadow. Armbands for all the rides are $18. but bring the coupon out of the fairguide for $3 off for cost of $15.)
