ASHEVILLE -- City of Asheville: Offices will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Dec. 28 in observance of the winter holiday break.

City offices will be closed New Year’s Day as well, Jan. 1, 2021.

 

The City’s Sanitation schedule will not be affected by these closures this year. The Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville remains closed to the public per current North Carolina executive orders.

The following City services will be affected by the holiday closures.

ART bus service
ART bus service will not run on Christmas Day. Bus service will be suspended at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 24. The buses will run on a holiday schedule on Jan. 1. Parks
All parks will be open on a regular schedule throughout the holidays.

All recreation and community centers remain closed to the public due to COVID-19.

The WNC Nature Center will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. 

Emergency services
All public safety services, including police, fire and emergency response, will operate to normal schedule – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Water Resources staff will be available for water related emergencies 24 hours a day over the holiday weekend.  Customers can call the customer service line at 828-251-1122 to report water related emergencies, leaks, breaks and no water calls.
