November 20 – January 3 Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland
Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland LIVE will be held at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, featuring hundreds of thousands of LED lights dancing in synchronization with the music on your radio. Winter Lights
North Carolina Arboretum
Experience Asheville’s BRIGHTEST holiday tradition at Winter Lights at the North Carolina Arboretum. This year, guests are invited to take a dreamy ride through the Arboretum’s enchanted forest and attend Winter Lights safely in your own vehicles. In light of COVID-19, the Arboretum has converted its popular event into a drive-thru show, allowing guests to navigate through a one-mile stretch of the Arboretum’s campus and see unique exhibits covered in thousands of holiday lights.  828-665-2492 Click to purchase tickets.

November 27 – December 18
Merchant Decoration Contest
Merchants all over Henderson County vie for the honor of best holiday window displays and lighting.  The lights will be turned on with the holiday street lighting. Take a drive around the county to look at all of the festive holiday displays. Vote for your favorite storefront online, check back for when voting opens – 828-693–9708

November 27 – December 23 The Peppermint Bear Scavenger Hunt
Free
Peppermint Bear will take you on a fun-filled bear hunt through downtown Hendersonville looking for her cubs.  As you search for the cubs, visit at least 12 of the 27 downtown participating businesses to be eligible for prizes. Complete the entry form in the brochure and drop it in Peppermint’s mailbox, located in front of the Visitor Center, by December 23rd. For more details about the Scavenger Hunt, watch this video or stop by the Visitor Center at 201 South Main Street. Holiday Market at the Hendersonville Farmers Market
8 am – 1 pm / Free Admission
Celebrate the holidays at Hendersonville Farmers Market! The Hendersonville Farmers Market offers fresh produce, meats, flowers, baked goods, crafts, and so much more. December 1 – 22 (Monday-Friday)
Historic Johnson Farm Christmas Tours Admission Charged
Experience the 1880 farmhouse decorated for Christmas as you learn about the Johnson Family and their farm. Guided tours of the historic farmhouse decorated for Christmas will be available at 10:30 am each day, reservations are required. The house will be open for self-guided tours each day from 1-3:00 pm. Hot chocolate will be available as well as a Christmas craft for those interested. There will also be a number of items for sale in the Interpretive Center such as Christmas gift baskets, Christmas cacti, and more. Festival of Lights
Lake Julian Park
The driving-only tour includes thousands of dazzling lights and displays placed along an enchanted journey on the road circling Lake Julian Park from 6 pm – 9 pm each evening. Tickets must be purchased online this year. 20% of the proceeds benefit Special Olympics Buncombe County. Whoo Loves Hendo Saturday?
All Day
The merchants are bringing a new experience to Downtown Hendersonville this year with “Whoo-ville” inspired costumes and decor. Main Street will be closed to vehicles all day on December 5 from 1st to 6th Avenues. Click for more information Downtown Hendersonville

Santa on the Chimney
