Asheville Police investigate assault

Asheville -- Asheville Police Department:At approximately 8:00 p.m. on April 7 the Asheville Police Department responded to the area of Hendersonville Road near the I-40 interchange after receiving a report of an assault.

Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim who was suffering from non-life threatening injuries to include a stab wound. The victim was transported to Mission Hospital and treated for injuries.

The assault was reported to have occurred in the area of 9 Swan Street in Biltmore Village.
