Two Henderson County Teens Identified in Submerged Vehicle
Hendersonville -- Bodies of 18-year-old Horacio Jesus Sanchez Visoso and 19-year-old William Antonio Franco Rubio were found in a 1997 Toyota, about 15 to 20 feet beneath the surface of Lake Summit. Both teens were from Flat Rock.
Full statement from Molly McGowan Gorsuch, public information officer for Henderson County Schools, released this statement:
Both young men had been students at our Henderson County Career Academy. Horacio Jesus Sanchez Visoso graduated from the Career Academy last year, after having transferred from East Henderson High. William Antonio Franco Rubio was slated to graduate from the Career Academy this year.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of these two young men, and our thoughts are with their families. School psychologists, school social workers, and school counselors with the district’s Crisis Team are available at the the schools affected by this loss, to talk with students and staff and to provide support during this difficult time.
