Nebo Man Faces Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

McDowell County --  J.W. Vaughn, 50, of Nebo was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine by the McDowell County Sheriff's Office.  

The amount of the secured bond that was issued to him was $7,500. 

Vaughn was pulled over for a traffic infraction in the Nebo neighborhood on June 26.  He was discovered to have a suspended license and to be driving without a tag.

A suspected quantity of methamphetamine was found during a search of his person. The vehicle was towed when Vaughn was arrested and taken to the McDowell County Detention Center.
