Woman Charged with Felony Theft in McDowell County

McDowell County --  Martha Elizabeth Fender, 54, of Marion, was charged with felony larceny by the McDowell County Sheriff's Office.  She was given a $1,000 secured bail.

A Deputy had a conversation with a person on February 21 regarding the theft of personal belongings from a nearby campground.  According to the caller, a number of items from their camp as well as stuff from nearby sites were stolen.  A gold Nissan pickup with a full truck bed was seen departing the location on local video. 
 
The Nissan pickup was parked at Fender's house, where Det. Robinson found the missing items.
