Franklin --  At about 9:30 PM on March 13, 2025, the Franklin Police Department was working with the Macon County, NC Sheriff's Office when they pulled over a car on U.S. Highway 441 for traffic violations. 

When police looked investigated,  they found that both the driver and the passenger had controlled substances and drug tools on them.  Police found about 25.29 grams of what they thought was fentanyl,.6 grams of what they thought was methamphetamine, and 7 foils that they suspected contained fentanyl.

Jeffrey Scott Johnson

+ Trafficking in opium/heroin x 2
+ Possess with intent to sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance
+ Possess methamphetamine
+ Maintain a vehicle for controlled substances
+ Possess drug paraphernalia
+ Driving while license revoked

Alejandro Gil Leiva

+ Trafficking in opium/heroin x 2
+ Possess with intent to sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance
+ Possess methamphetamine
