
Disaster Energy Assistance Available for Haywood County Residents
Haywood County -- Press Release Haywood County Government Haywood County residents impacted by Hurricane Helene may qualify for
Disaster Energy Assistance to help with heating costs and repairs. This state-funded program assists households with utility bills and heating systems that need repairs, are inoperable, or at risk of disconnection.
To qualify, applicants must:
-Have at least one U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
-Have an income at or below 60% of the state median income.
-Have lived in Haywood County during Hurricane Helene and still reside in a disaster-declared county.
-Have suffered a loss due to the storm.
