Man Charged in Asheville Fatal Motorcycle Collision
Asheville -- Press Release Asheville Police: Asheville Police have charged a man following a fatal motor vehicle collision that resulted in the
death of a motorcyclist on February 8th.
Upon completion of the Asheville Police Department investigation, along with consultation with the Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office, criminal charges were brought forth on Stephen Michael Poandl (05/27/1980) for Misdemeanor Death by Motor Vehicle, Failure to Yield Causing Serious Body Injury, and Improper Turn.
Poandl turned himself in on February 10th and was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $20,000 unsecured bond issued by a magistrate and released.
