Jackson County -- The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce will hold its third โ€œFriends Night Out,โ€ event

from 12-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, all across Jackson County Chamber member businesses.

The event is intended to create an economic impact on the area and encourage sales on an evening during a traditionally slower time of the year.

"Friendsโ€ simply shop at any participating Chamber member retailer or food and beverage provider between the hours of 12 and 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, and purchase $25 or more at that business or at multiple businesses total. Then, bring your receipt(s) by the chamber at 773 West Main Street in Sylva and register. There is no other cost to participate. From 5:30 pm - 6:30 p.m., there will be fun events happening on the chamber lawn, including a chance to meet our sponsor, Current Dermatology.

Most stores will have special promotions, sales, and perhaps even some surprise treats.

โ€œAt 6:45 p.m., weโ€™ll do a drawing from those who registered and one lucky participant will win a shopping and dining frenzy worth over $300,โ€ said Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Assistant Director Kelly Donaldson. โ€œThe frenzy includes many gift certificates donated by our participating merchants and restaurants.โ€

Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Donaldson added, "We will also draw for 1 of 25 branded gift boxes, courtesy of our sponsor, Current Dermatology."
