Byte Me Computers is headed by Jason Cogburn, a Cruso-native, whose family settled in Haywood County in the late 1700s.
Jason’s wife and partner Leigh, originally from Sydney, Australia, moved to Haywood County in 2008 from Alabama. The couple now reside in Clyde with their three spoiled dogs: Barney (12), Jake (8), and Juliet (3).
In May, 2011, on a shoe-string budget and with the help of family and friends, the couple first opened the doors of Byte Me Computers in a small storefront on Broad Street in Clyde, NC. After slow but steady growth, Byte Me Computers moved to a larger location on Champion Drive in Canton in 2013.
With the belief that generosity of both time and money is a cornerstone of good business and strong community, Byte Me Computers has spent the last ten years building relationships with its neighbors. Our customers are the best and we are so
thankful for their loyalty and support throughout the years. We make an effort to give
back.
In addition to being cheerful givers of financial support to local charities, churches, and non-profits, Byte Me Computers also established an internship program. We have been honored to provide training and work experience to students at both Tuscola and Pisgah High Schools. For students interested in pursuing careers in computer technology, Jason enjoys providing training and work experience to the next generation. In return, our interns constantly inspire us with their hard-work and dedication.
Byte Me is happy to share that as a result of continued growth, we have moved operations to a larger space for 2024. We are now located in Waynesville at 385 N Haywood St, Suite 1 (the corner of Haywood and Miller streets). Our new location will
allow us to focus on our growing custom-built computer offerings as well as enable us to continue an uncompromising approach to repair of PCs, MACs, tablets, and game consoles.
