FRANKLIN, NC -- On Wednesday,  a press release by the office of NC District Attorney, Greg Newman announced Macon County Deputy Sheriff Momphar, Jr. has been cleared in the fatal shooting of a Franklin resident, Michael Scott Knibbs.
