RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina’s capital city have been monitoring the home of the department’s chief around the clock in the nearly two months since crowds showed up at her door protesting a police shooting, officials said Thursday.
Buncombe County Government: Since news of the COVID-19 outbreak, Buncombe County officials have taken guidance from experts in the medical and scientific communities and treated this as a public health crisis. On March 12, Buncombe County proactively declared a state of emergency and put weeks’ worth of logistical planning into action by opening its emergency operations center (EOC).
Buncombe County-- Buncombe County Government has reopened some of its public parks. All seven river parks and Collier Cove Nature Preserve are available for park visitors to safely enjoy the outdoors and green spaces.
