Two Arrested in McDowell County Felony Larceny for Copper & Transformer Theft

McDowell County -- December 2, 2024:  McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Jimmy Lee Mahan, 42, of Marion,

with felony Larceny.  No bond as he was out on pretrial release.
 
Daphne Marie Holland, 41, of Marion, with felony Larceny. She received a secured bond in the amount of $10,000.

On November 24, 2024, deputies responded to a call involving a male and female subject stealing copper wire and transformers from the area. Upon arrival to the scene,

Mahan and Holland were parked with two Chevrolet trucks that contained fiber optic copper wire in the bed of one truck and a large transformer on the trailer.

Mahan and Holland were taken into custody and both vehicles were towed.
