Marion Woman Charged with Burning Personal Property

McDowell County -- September 12, 2024: McDowell County Sheriff's Office: Brittany Dawn Owensby of Marion is charged

with felony Burning Personal Property and misdemeanor Communicating Threats. She was issued no bond due to being out on a previous pre-trial bond for unrelated crimes.

On August 7th, deputies responded to Owenby’s residence in Marion after a neighbor reported she had been communicating threats and had damaged personal property of that neighbor by setting a chair on fire.
