Macon County Man Faces Multiple Charges
Macon County -- August 6, 2024: Macon County Sheriff's Office: On July 17, Liberty Wood Products sustained significant
damage to their property due to a fire. The circumstances around the fire were found to be suspicious, so an investigation was launched.
Tips from the community flooded in, and it’s because of the strong community cooperation and support that we gained information that led us to a suspect for this fire.
Upon executing a search warrant, evidence was found that tied the suspect to multiple ongoing breaking and entering investigations at both Macon County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin Police Department.
Elijah Todd Lam has been charged with:
4 counts of Breaking and Entering
4 counts of Larceny after Breaking & Entering
1 count of Larceny of Motor Vehicle
2 counts of Breaking & Entering Motor Vehicle
6 counts of Possession of Stolen Goods
1 count of Burning Certain Buildings
1 count of Burning Personal Property
1 count of Felony Larceny
1 count of Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle
2 counts of Felony Probation Violation
Lam is being held on a $160,000 bond, secured.
