Traffic Stop Leads to Gun and Drug Trafficking Charges
Macon County -- March 15, 2024: The Macon County Sheriff's Office reported on Wednesday, that a traffic stop
led to a search warrant conducted in the Cartoogechaye area of Macon County. Michael David Adams has been charged
with the following:
5 counts of Possession of Firearm by Felon
1 count of Trafficking Opium/Heroin
1 count of PWIMSD Fentanyl
2 counts of Maintaining Vehicle/Dwelling
2 counts of Drug Paraphernalia
1 count of Possession of Controlled Substance on Jail Premises
1 count of Driving with Revoked License
1 count of Possession of Schedule II controlled substance
A trafficking amount of fentanyl, a quantity of methamphetamine, and multiple firearms were seized as a result of this arrest.
A bond was set by a magistrate at $521,000.
