Asheville -- Asheville Police Department detectives, officers, and state partners worked together to apprehend six individuals wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in November.

APD officers responded on November 3 to Atkinson Street to investigate a report of an armed robbery in which a man was physically assaulted and pistol-whipped. Following an investigation, detectives identified and charged five men and a juvenile.
Officers located the wanted group in the area of Atkinson Street on December 12. While attempting to make contact, they fled on foot. All six were quickly apprehended.

Arrested:

Maurice Montrell Harris Jr 
-Warrant: Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
-Warrant: Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Seriously Injure
Harris was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $150,000 secured bond (or $15,000 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.

Kuron Christopher Grant 
-Warrant: Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
-Warrant: Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Seriously Injure
Grant was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $100,000 secured bond (or $10,000 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.

Azenda Tavis Johnson 
-Warrant: Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
-Warrant: Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Seriously Injure
-Charged: Felony Possession of Schedule I
Johnson was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (not eligible for release).

Zyon Zaeshawn Jacobs 
-Warrant: Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
-Warrant: Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Seriously Injure
-Charged: Felony Possession of Marijuana
Jacobs was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $50,000 secured bond (or $5,000 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.

Juvenile
-Juvenile Petition: Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
-Juvenile Petition: Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Seriously Injure

Daquavion Jaquez Chancellor 
-Warrant: Aid & Abet Armed Robbery
-Warrant: Felony Aid & Abet
-Warrant: Felony Probation Violation
Chancellor was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $20,000 secured bond (or $2,000 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.
