Drug Arrest After Citizen Tip
Rutherford County -- On Tuesday, detectives from the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Street Crimes Unit begin an investigation into a citizen-submitted narcotics tip.
Shortly after getting the tip, detectives observed a known vehicle driven by the suspect, IsaihaFrancis Magers.
Because it was known that Mr. Magers did not have a valid driver's license in the state of North Carolina, a traffic stop was conducted. During the traffic check, an odor of marijuana could be detected coming from the vehicle's inside. The vehicle was searched, and detectives discovered many baggies of marijuana and paraphernalia.
This traffic stop brought investigators back to the MAGERS' home, which is also where the vehicle was spotted leaving and where the tip was filed. During the search of the residence, detectives were able to seize the following:
261 Grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms
1,672 Grams of Marijuana
129 Grams of THC Wax
2,125 Grams of Codeine
913.3 Grams of Synthetic Cannabinoid
7 Firearms
$289.00 in US Currency
As a result, Isaiha Frances Phillip Magers, 21 of Shiloh Road, was arrested and charged with the following:
Trafficking, Opium or Heroin
Trafficking Synthetic Cannabinoid
PWIMSD SCH I
PWIMSD SCH VI (X2)
Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substance
Possess Drug Paraphernalia
No Operators License
Mr. Magers was given a $750,000 secured bond.
