How to resolve AdBlock issue? 
Haywood County: April 30, 2023: Scottie Lee Parham, 30, of Asheville was pursued and
detained by Haywood County Deputies from the narcotics. and interdiction team.
The announcement was made Saturday by the Haywood County Sheriff's Office. The arrest was made Friday,
April 28, 2023 at around 10:55 p.m. during an investigation.
The sheriff's office is calling it the "Largest Opiate Seizure in Recent Haywood County History."
A Glock handgun, 299.5 grams of suspected Fentanyl, and 497.2 grams of methamphetamine were found.
One of the greatest probable Fentanyl seizures in Haywood County history has been made thus far. Mr. Parham is now
being detained in the Haywood County jail on a $2,550,000.00 bond and is accused of the following offenses:
• Felony Flee to Elude Arrest in a Motor Vehicle
• 2 Counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine
• 2 Counts of Trafficking Opium or Heroin (Suspected Fentanyl)
• Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
