Asheville -- April 27, 2023: During the search for a missing child from Maryland, Asheville Police
Detectives charged a man with numerous counts of child sex crimes.
Detectives discovered that Oscar Yobani Solis-Berduo had an inappropriate sexual interaction with the missing child. He was accused Abduction of a Child, Statutory Rape of a Child under 15 years of age, and Human Trafficking of a Child Victim.
Solis-Berduo was taken into custody on April 26 in Buncombe County and is currently being held there under a magistrate-issued bond for $600,000.00 (or $60,000 to a bondsman).
