WNC Agencies' Investigation Leads to 17 Arrests in Haywood County

Haywood County, NC: July 23, 2022: The Haywood County Sheriff's Office, Waynesville Police Department, Canton Police Department, and the Maggie Valley Police Department joined forces

and arrested 17 individuals over a 72-hour period which resulted in 12 trafficking charges.

Dakota Bradshaw was charged with:
2 Domestic Warrants
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $10,000 unsecured bond.
Russell Gentry was charged with:
1 Warrant
Possession of a Schedule II
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $7,500 unsecured bond.
Tina Martinez was charged with:
2 Counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Conspire to Traffic in Methamphetamine
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $50,000 secured bond.
Sherry Keith was charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Conspiring to Traffic Methamphetamine
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $50,000 secured bond.
Paris Strickland was charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine
And was granted a Written Promise.
Susan Fulp was charged with:
Out-of-State Warrant
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $5,000 unsecured bond
Stephanie Evans was charged with:
Four Counts of Trafficking in Opium or Heroin
Two Counts of Conspiring to Traffic Opium/Heroin
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $400,000 secured bond.
Charles Bryson Jr. was charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $5,000 unsecured bond.
Richard Moore
2 Counts Failure to Appear
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $250 unsecured bond.
Kaleigh Simpson
Trafficking in Opium or Heroin
Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II
Carrying Concealed
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $80,000 secured bond.
Bruce Smith was charged with:
4 Counts Failure to Appear
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $20,000 unsecured bond.
Jeremy Barnes was charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $10,000 unsecured bond.
Christian Taylor was charged with:
Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $5,000 unsecured bond.
Matthew Sides was charged with:
Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $5,000 unsecured bond.
Janet Flynn was charged with:
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Julie Bouwman was charged with:
Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance
Possession of Methamphetamine
And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center with a $5,000 unsecured bond.
