Henderon County -- Henderson County Sheriff's Office November 17, 2021

On Wednesday November 17th, 2021 at approx. 13:05hrs the Henderson County E-911 center received multiple 911 calls reporting an explosion in the Kyles Creek Rd area of Fletcher. Fletcher Fire & Rescue was dispatched and while responding the E-911 center received additional information as to the exact location of the explosion. When first responders arrived on scene they observed that a residential structure had exploded and that two persons had sustained injures as the result of the explosion.
Due to the extent of those injuries Henderson County EMS requested that both Mountain Air Medical Ambulances (MAMA) respond to the scene. Both persons who sustained injuries were transported to the burn center via air ambulance.
The Henderson County Fire Marshalls Office along with Fletcher Fire & Rescue are currently conducting the investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.
