Waynesville Mother of Family left homeless after tree falls on house dies

HAYWOOD COUNTY -- A Haywood County family left homeless  when a tree fell on their house,  are now coping the loss of the mother, Kriisten Ledford, died August 20, 2018.

 Ledford was hospitalized at Spartanburg Medical Center in a medical coma fighting bacterial meningitus.

A GoFundMe account to help the family was updated talking about the funeral this morning, continues to collect donations .

As of the time of this writing, the fund has raised over $45,000.
