Asheville Police ask Public's help in vehicle death investigation

Asheville -- The Asheville Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to gather additional information on a traffic fatality that occurred at approximately 5:12 p.m. on January 14 in the area of 125 New Leicester Highway.

A vehicle attempting to make a left hand turn from Heritage Drive onto NC 63 (New Leicester Highway) was struck by a vehicle traveling north on NC 63. The driver of the vehicle attempting to make a left turn was transported to Mission Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. She was identified as Kishiko Araya Adams (66), of Asheville.
