Transylvania County Sheriff's Office Charge Brevard Man with Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

Transylvania County --An arrest in a Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor investigation has been announced by the Transylvania County Sheriff's Office.

Aydin Michael Thomas, a 22-year-old Brevard resident, has been arrested by the Transylvania County Sheriff's Office. The arrest comes after the Transylvania County Sheriff's Office, along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, conducted a thorough investigation.

After receiving reliable information about the possible exploitation of a minor, the inquiry got underway in April 2025.  Thomas was charged after a meticulous and comprehensive investigation yielded evidence. Thomas was apprehended without incident on June 7, 2025.
