
APD Arrest Man for Discharging Gun
Asheville -- A man who fired a gun Friday night was taken into custody by Asheville police. Fortunately, just property damage has been reported, and no one was hurt.
Around 6:37 p.m. on May 30, officers were called to the 300 block of Riverside Drive in reference to a person carrying a gun.
When authorities arrived, they spoke with a number of people. They found shot casings and a loaded pistol while searching the area. Officers concluded following their investigation that Kennith Wayen Hubert (02/20/1979) fired a weapon at least four times during a verbal altercation.
He was arrested without incident and charged with both injury to personal property and discharge of a firearm within city limits.
Hubert was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $1,000 (or $100 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
