Asheville --  During proactive crime prevention on Wednesday night in West Asheville, officers from the Asheville Police Department apprehended a man on narcotics trafficking charges.

At approximately 9:20 p.m. on May 22, officers arrived at Deaverview Road and spoke with Warren Daryl Brathwaite (08/24/1969).  

They discovered crack cocaine, fentanyl, and a trafficking quantity of opium in his possession.  Brathwaite was apprehended without incident.

Seized:

37g of fentanyl

14.68g of crack cocaine

$7,442.00 in US currency

Brathwaite was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $200,000 (or $20,000 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
