
Asheville Police Apprehend Robbery Suspect
Asheville -- Press Release Asheville Police Department: Asheville Police apprehended a man in connection with an attempted robbery Saturday morning in west Asheville.
Officers responded to a business in the 140 block of South Bear Creek Road on April 12th to investigate a report of a gun discharge.
The reporting party indicated that while backing up in their vehicle, it was struck twice by projectiles. After exiting the vehicle to investigate, the victim located bullet holes, then returned to her vehicle and left the area to contact police.
When officers arrived, the suspect was no longer on scene, but they learned that in addition to damaging a vehicle, the suspect attempted to rob a different individual. Fortunately, that victim was able to get away safely. Through investigation, officers were able to identify Marcus Jordan McMillan (03/01/2000) as the suspect. Later that day, McMillan was located and taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, he was found to be in possession of a Glock 43X handgun.

McMillan was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $30,000 (or $3,000 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
