
Man Charged with Statutory Rape, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile
Henderson County -- Henderson County Sheriff's Office: On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, The Criminal Investigations Division Major
Crimes Unit initiated an investigation into alleged sexual activity between an adult and a minor.
Uriel Cruz Dominguez was arrested and charged with Statutory Rape by an Adult and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.
Under North Carolina General Statute 14-27.2A – Statutory Rape by an Adult
A person guilty of this offense
(1) has vaginal intercourse
(2) with a child under the age of 13 years and
(3) the defendant is at least 18 years old.
Under North Carolina General Statute 14-316.1 – Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile
A person guilty of this offense
(1) is at least 16 years old and
(2) knowingly or willfully
(3) (a)causes,
(b)encourages, or
(c)aids
(4) a juvenile within the jurisdiction of the court
(5) (a)to be in a place or condition or
(b)to commit an act
(6) whereby the juvenile could be adjudicated
(a)delinquent as defined in G.S. 7B-1501(7),
(b)undisciplined as defined in G.S. 7B-1501(27),
(c)abused as defined in G.S. 7B-101(1), or
(d)neglected as defined in G.S. 7B-101(5).
