Buncombe County Sheriff's Office -- On November 13th, Keith William Grandy, a teacher at North Buncombe High School, was charged with two counts of Sex Acts With a Student and taken into custody by the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office. A search warrant was executed on Mr. Grandy’s residence on the evening of November 13. His bond has been set at $65,000.

Mr. Grandy has been suspended from his teaching duties by Buncombe County Schools since the onset of our investigation. These criminal acts did not take place on the school campus. When school administrators learned of the allegations, the case was immediately turned over to the Sheriff’s Office.

Haywood County -- Haywood County Sheriff's Office -- NC Law enforcement officers seized more than 3.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and one kilogram of cocaine from a Haywood County residence earlier this week as part of a multi- jurisdictional narcotics investigation headed by the NC State Bureau of Investigation.
