Election Day Update Early Voting: No Location or Schedule Changes

All Early Voting locations in Haywood County are expected to be operational:

-Canton Public Library
-Clyde Municipal Building
-Senior Resource Center
**Election Day Voting: Polling Place Relocations

Due to storm damage, three precincts will relocate:

-North Clyde Precinct (formerly at the Education Center on Broad St.) will move to Clyde Elementary School Gym.
-South Clyde Precinct (formerly at Clyde Fire Dept.) will move to the Clyde Municipal Building.
-Big Creek Precinct will move to the Jonathan Valley Fire Department.
**Other Reminders and Updates, Post-Hurricane Helene

Voter ID:

If you lost your photo ID due to the storm, you have options:

-Fill out a Photo ID Exception Form at your voting site or with your absentee ballot. Select “Exception 3: Victim of a
Natural Disaster.”
-Visit your county board of elections for a free photo ID.
-Obtain a free ID from an NCDMV office. For more details, visit BringItNC.gov.
**Absentee Voting:
-If displaced, you can request an absentee ballot to be sent to your new location.
-If you've already requested an absentee ballot and need it sent to a new address, contact the Board of Elections
to reissue your ballot.
-Request an absentee ballot online through the North Carolina Absentee Ballot Portal.


Mass Care Medical Unit

A Mass Care Medical Unit is set up at 157 Paragon Parkway, Suite 300, Clyde, and is
operating daily from 9 AM to 6 PM, providing non-emergency healthcare services such as simple
medication refills, insulin management, tetanus vaccinations, etc.

A curfew is in effect from 1 AM to 6 AM. Please stay off the roads unless necessary.

Waste Management

Debris Removal: Place debris beside the road (not on it), separate tree debris from
construction materials, and take photos for FEMA documentation purposes.
