Couple Charged with Numerous Drug Crimes

McDowell County -- August 21, 2024: Christopher Forney from Marion has been charged with possession of

methamphetamine. Forney was granted a $3,000 bond that is secured.

Amanda Boone was also charged with Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Possession of Methamphetamine. Boone was denied bail due to her existing bond for other offenses.

McDowell County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a patrol in the Fairview Road area on August 4th and pulled over Forney's car due to a traffic violation. Forney lacked a legitimate driver's license, and a thorough search of the vehicle and its passenger, Boone, revealed methamphetamine, possible fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.
