Asheville Man Charged in Shooting
Asheville -- March 8, 2024: Detectives with the Asheville Police Department charged a man with shooting another
man following a fight Thursday afternoon.
Around 2:01 p.m. on March 6, APD Patrol Officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound to a male in the 380 block of Long Shoals Road. Responding authorities discovered the victim in the neighboring area, suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. Buncombe County EMS brought him to Mission Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Following an inquiry, Kenneth Nathaniel Leckron (07/25/1993) was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Firearm by Felon.
Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating Leckron. He is described as a white male, 30 years old, 5’9”, around 170 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. His tattoos include “FIRST” over his left eyebrow, “FAMILY” over his right eyebrow, a family crest on the front side of his neck, and multiple tattoos on his arms. If anyone sees Leckron, please do not approach him; he is considered dangerous.
