Rutherford County Large Meth Seizure
Rutherford County -- October 19, 2023: The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office and the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office have been working together on a case involving Jason Lee Causby for the past few months.
Causby was moving and selling a lot of methamphetamine in Rutherford and Cleveland Counties. On October 9, 2023, Narcotics Detectives from the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office pulled Causby over in the Bostic area of Rutherford County.
Detectives were able to track Causby down at his home in Cleveland County, which is at 410 James Rd. Additionally, the Narcotic Unit of the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office arrived and searched Causby's home.
There were 4 guns and 625 grams of methamphetamine found inside the house. Someone in Rutherford County said that one of the guns they found had been stolen. It was found that Causby is a registered sex offender, has been convicted of a felony, and did not report to the police about his new home.
Causby was then placed under arrest by Cleveland County Sheriff's Office for the following charges...

Causby will also be charged by Rutherford County for " Failing to register new address as Sex offender"
