Rutherford County Sheriff's Office and DHS Drug Arrests
Rutherford County -- January 16, 2023: A search warrant was carried out at 2525 Ferry Rd, Mooresboro
by the Department of Homeland Security (H.S.I.)
and the "VICE" unit of Rutherford County. A significant methamphetamine trafficking investigation that spans North and South Carolina led to the issuance of this search warrant.
On Januray 12, 2023, detectives discovered 8 people at the home/business during the search warrant's execution.
One subject, Floyd BURNS, tried to flush methamphetamine down the toilet to destroy it, but fortunately for detectives,
the drug did not completely flush. After a field test revealed that the toilet's residual contents contained methamphetamine, the entire contents were removed. The 608 grams of liquid methamphetamine present in a package, 22 grams of methamphetamine in many other baggies were discovered and confiscated during the search.
VICE Detectives discovered the following throughout their search:
Total- 630 grams of Methamphetamine (1.3 pounds)
Four subjects were arrested in conjunction with this Search Warrant and charged with the following:
Floyd Daniel Burns - Trafficking Methamphetamine , 100,000.00 Secured Bond
Julia Michelle Childers - Maintain Dwelling for Controlled Substance, Possess Methamphetamine , $5,000 Secured Bond
Raymond Earl Johnson - Possess with intent to sell/deliver Methamphetamine - $5,000 Secured Bond
Brain Shane Hall - Possession of Methamphetamine - $2,000 Secured Bond
