Asheville -- November 14, 2022: Gunshots in the early morning hours near downtown damaged two automobiles, but fortunately there were no reports of injuries,

Asheville Police are investigating the incident.

APD Patrol around 2:36 a.m., reports of gunfire near the 60 block of Bingham Road prompted the response of police.
Officers arrived and discovered six shell casings, two unoccupied automobiles with bullet damage.
This is one of the 470 confirmed shooting incidents that occurred in 2022. Officers and forensic specialists have retrieved 623 bullet casings from these crime scenes so far this year.
